Society History
The Society was founded on
The
Society was largely instrumental in founding the old East Midlands Federation
of Stamp Clubs in 1950, linking clubs and Societies as far a
field as
A
definitive Peterborough Philatelic Collection has been in being since 1969 and
has many excellent and rare items of local postal history, much of which was
donated by members. It must now rank among the most comprehensive local
collections in the
The
Society meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the month from
September to June each year at All Saints Church Peterborough.
Meetings consist of either members or visiting
speaker displays or visits from neighbouring societies. A circulating club
packet is available for members wishing to buy or sell stamps.
