Loughborough Philatelic Society
Society History
In 1947, a noted industrialist Capt.
Emerson Huston displayed stamps at the Loughborough Library. The interest created
gave
rise
to a group of founder members forming the Society.
Meetings were held
at the Library until 1954 when the Society moved to the St Johns
Ambulance Rooms in
In 1981 the “HQ” became the
Quest House on
We have a very
active membership that covers all aspects of Philately. Whatever their
interests no matter how remotely
connected
to Philately, they will be sure of a warm welcome.
Membership is open
to everone and visitors of either sex, young or old
are most welcome.
